Robert Parker 93/100: An outstanding, dark ruby/purple-hued effort with little lightening at the edge, the 1982 Canon exhibits plenty of crushed rock, red and black currant, and dusty, earthy, loamy notes. It is a full-bodied, powerful, slightly austere St.-Emilion with moderately high tannins. Believe it or not, this 1982 is not yet fully mature. It should drink well for another 10-15 years.MWH Wine Merchants: Like so many of 82s, the Chateau Canon 1982 has taken time to shed its immense tannins, but now it has it is pure drinking pleasure. Warm, opulent and heady with spiced cassis, cherries, chocolate and mint, it’s a wonderful wine from a superbly placed St Emilion.
