MWH Wines: 1963 Vintage Ports are among the most sought-after of all Ports, and it's easy to see why. The quality was superb, and 25 shippers declared wines which have taken time to reach their best, a wait that was wholly worthwhile. Complete, powerful and satisfying, the Dow 1963 is another great of this great vintage and will continue to please for a long time to come.
Pale brick colour with fragrant scents of mossy wood, potpourri, cinnamon and dried mulberry plus a whiff of espresso. A mature, well balanced Port comes through in the mouth with high acidity cutting through the lingering dried berry and spice fruit and a medium level of grainy tannins. Long finish.
Please note this bottle's level is mid shoulder and the label is damaged.
