One of the best 1970 vintage Ports, still going strong with a long life ahead of it. The 1970 Ports offer excellent value for money too.
Well over two dozen notes, all complimentary. medium-deep, mature; classic harmonious bouquet; medium-sweet; a good mouthful of fruit, perfect length and finish. Wonderful aftertaste. Glorious Warre at its best. ***** Michael Broadbent
12/4/2010 & rated 95 points: Rated 95-96. Significant notes of raisin. Lots of tannic structure that will last for years. Still remarkably young. Lots of fruit, and a bit of alcohol. So incredibly smooth. Will only improve with age, and will likely improve, in my mind, to a 97-99. Cellartracker
